3D Scanning to CAD Comparison

3D scanning to CAD Inspection is the process of comparing parts CAD model with 3D point cloud data generated by 3D scanner. This inspection process Eliminate the need of 2D drawings for inspection.

In this process, scanned data gathered using 3D scanner and aligned to the nominal CAD model. That provides a graphic comparison in the form of a color deviation map displaying differences between the scanned physical part and that of the CAD model. By comparing the Scanning data of manufactured parts with the original design, information about whether the part is within the critical tolerance zone or not can be known by color plot and table (X,Y,Z) deviation reports.
